As you might know, the Hovden busserull shirt has a unique historic pattern that consists of only squares and rectangles. Therefore there is very little fabric waste. However, we pride ourselves with creating very little waste and put the few scraps we have to use. That is how this beautiful patchwork table runner came to be. The talented sewers that we work with took photos of the process of making this one-of-a-kind piece.
Do you recognize the shirts? Tobacco linen, denim, dark and light wool, scandinavian linen, grey striped. There is even some fabric scarps from the teal viking skirt from Klesarven (we use the same sewers).
I hope this piece ends up in a home that appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it.
