Out of the 150 farms that existed in Gausdal prior to the plague, only 40 or so remained afterwards. It took another 200 years before the number of farms started growing again. We planned to hike a bit afterwards, but Philip was too tired. We took a drive into the mountains instead of had a snack at the café on the top.
Our last day in Gausdal, we went to visit my former aunt in law Reidun. Reidun always has fresh cakes and cookies on hand and is happy to brew up a pot of coffee for guests.
